I want to thank you for your letter of January 12, 2008 requesting a donation to Disaster Relief. It was certainly moving, and I commend you for the very worthy work your organization is doing.

I must, however, decline your request for a contribution. I have been active for years working with the American Red Cross and already contribute my time and funds to their efforts. They too provide essential services in times of dire need and require my ongoing support.

I wish you every success in your fund raising campaign. Keep up the good work.
